One of the best things happened the other day: a random note shared on r/CockRingTalk by user u/Nudenotrude327 saying, without being a corporate shill, “Hey, guys - this Primal Power silicone ring is pretty sweet. You should check it out.” I knew exactly what to do next: get one!
It was an easy call to pick up another Primal adornment because the Primal Energy is one of my favorites. Like the Energy, the Power features a tapered contour from top to bottom as well as a slight curve toward the body as the it tapers. Departing from that initial design that put Primal on the map, this adornment is significantly thicker in width as well as being made of a silky soft black silicone material. The “P” embossed logo at the top of the ring may be a divisive decision (I’m all for brands… but while it’s on, MY brand is what should be front and center)… but that is up to you to decide. The generous proportions of the adornment ensure maximum comfort. With more than .3" in height and .7" of width, the overall thickness helps prevent pinching by helping limit the amount of skin that can “roll” over the ring and get caught between your body and clothes. I also find that wider designs “present” nicer by lifting the testicles forward. Bonus points! So, immediately upon receiving it, I geared up. Barring a few unavoidable pinches caused by my thick jeans, I was quite pleased with the comfort of the ring.
There was one hiccup with the design, though. The sizing is… off. The site says, “The interior dimensions of these rings are the same as our metal versions, but will flex a bit. If you are between sizes or at the lower end of a size range, consider going down a size.” The mm sizes presented are well and good because as I’ve mentioned before, I know my size well and know that I can live with a 45mm (1 3/4") adornment. Plus, if it stretches, all the better since my optimal rigid ring size is 47.5mm (1 7/8"). This ended up wearing more like a 50mm (2") ring. So, while the ring is quite comfortable with a velvety silicone texture and contours curving along the body, I do find it a bit lacking because of the fact that it doesn’t exactly serve its primary purpose as I had hoped it would.
If only I had seen Jim’s review stating “If you have a steel ring that fits well I’d go a size smaller. I like the width of the silicone but let’s face it, no matter it’s shape when off, it’s just going to conform to whatever shape you put it on.” Jim’s right! Size down if you go for this one. Otherwise, I think you’ll enjoy it!
