OK, so I have been on a sounding kick lately! I know it’s not for everyone but I do enjoy the feeling as a well sized sound slides in - it’s just not like any other sensation. I’ve admitted before that I am not an advanced player when it comes to sounding so imagine my delight when I came across this Etsy listing for a very long, gradually tapered sounding rod!
While I have a few things from The Chain Gang, they aren’t exactly a featured group in my collection. Not that there is anything wrong with their products - it’s just that they focus more on piercing materials with adornments as a just-so-happens-to-be-in-our-shop kind of thing. Over time, that has changed as they invent new designs and add more things to their store. Ages ago, I signed up for their newsletter to know about new products and also because their prices are generally more reasonable when they put an item on sale - and lo and behold, what drew my attention but a MONSTROUS urethral sound made of smooth stainless steel!
OK, I don’t use sounds very often, but when I do, I like to have a nice long set of sounds to feel more than just the sensation of the sound passing the urethra. This set is awesome for this! The set, coming in sizes of 5mm to 12mm, is easy on the eyes thanks to the clean, crisp look of glass. Made of pyrex glass, they are also plenty durable to reduce any fears of shards breaking off inside a horribly uncomfortable place.
This cool set of sounds is great to have. They are nice and long so you can feel them deeper in the base of your shaft, and are thin enough to work for me. Coming in at 6mm and 7mm each, they are just the right size to feel a bit of stretch inside as they are inserted without being outright painful. One of the things I especially like about them is the twisted shape which adds a bit of texture as they slide in.
My collection already has a number of sounds for fun and experimentation, but when I came across this interesting plug, I had to give it a whirl. Unlike my other tapered sounds, this one is step-wise graduated in .5mm increments and is marked along the shank as the size increases. This allows you know exactly what size works for you as well as to help you push to the point of “cannot take any more”.
While I do enjoy a good sounding rod, I’m not a highly experienced player. Thus, these two large tapered sounds are just too big for me to take. I’m sure with practice the 9.75mm plug can make its way in, but I doubt the 11.91 juggernaut to the right is ever in the cards for me.
This large (for a beginner) insertable adornment is tapered and comes complete with a screw design that allows it to be screwed into the urethra to… coax further dilation. It’s an intense experience and I never could quite get to the point of accepting the whole device.

This handsome cage features a contoured cock ring in multiple sizes and a newer barrel-style locking mechanism as opposed to a traditional padlock style. The catheter is optional, but can definitely help with draining while locked up.
