It is with great excitement that I share the results of a collaborative effort with Andrew at Himeros! As a discerning collector, I own practically every manner of adornment… but have always felt a desire for a special piece that I just couldn’t find out in the market. That missing piece of the collection is an adornment that matches my very own wedding band. Having been married for 17 years, I’ve worn a ring (the design was of my choosing) on my finger every day as a sign of dedication and love for my queen, so why not adorn myself elsewhere with the same design?

With the three new options out there, I decided that Athos would be my second Himeros ring after falling in love with himeros-proteus/. Custom Black Jade and Green

As a fan of any adornment made of exotic materials, I become even more of a sucker for custom designs. Although I have experience with jade as a material for my adornments through repurposing bangles and other such items, it immediately drew my attention when I discovered that KayeeEthnic on Etsy offers custom-sized adornments specific to the art of manhood adornment. I had to have one. This design features a generously portioned height and width to ensure that it does not dig in as the blood gets flowing.

FRKK Curved Cock and Shaft Trainer Cage

Similar to the flat trainer cage already in the collection, this adornment increases the comfort factor by leveraging the ubiquitous curved band design that has made its way into most Chinese adornment inventories. An important difference between this model and the other models in the collection is the fact that the shaft ring is a generous 1 1/2". This is a welcome change from the 1 1/4" shaft of the other model.

Ballistic Metal Trax

Another quality design from Ballistic Metal, the Trax is a “chunky” aluminum ring sharing the raw aluminum finish found on several other models. Similar to the raptor in design, the ring has a rectangular profile with the full outer profile notched with grooves from front to back. If looking closely, one can see that the grooves almost appear threaded due to the tool marks as they were cut into the body.

The rounded edges ensure comfort and the striking finish easily matches the half screw cock ring that is already in my collection. The only thing left is to purchase a shaft ring to complete the set - which, unfortunately, is lost to time given the untimely demise of Gear Essentials as a manufacturer.

Suddenly, this glans ring started appearing in random browsings as I looked for new adornments - so I had to oblige and pick it up. Available from a number of online retailers on AliExpress and Etsy, this stainless steel glans ring is a typical “band” design that has been modified with a slash to follow the contours of the glans better. The design is clever and I’m surprised by how much I appreciated the way the proportions fit the shape of my head so well.

Precision cut from stainless steel, this cock/shaft/ball weight/cage traps all your business in its grasp. For my sizing, I went with the 1 7/8" cock ring with the 1 3/8" shaft opening. As a sucker for combination rings and cages, this fit was just what the doctor ordered - which comes as no surprise given the machining excellence of Gear Essentials over the year.

I’ve had some good luck on Etsy lately discovering interesting finds. As a sucker for alternative materials to your boring nickel-plated steel ring, this Glass Vibrations ring stood out immediately thanks to the faceted cut on the outside and the charming black glass material. It took me a while to commit to purchasing this ring, though - the cost of the ring is spot-on and worth every dime… but the cost to ship from Saarbrücken, Germany to the Midwest US was almost twice the cost of the unit.

Gear Essentials Surge Glans

Just like its bigger brother, the Stainless Surge, this glans ring version features a concave outer profile to give some visual interest. While I would have preferred to keep the theme of stainless for both rings, this version comes in a lightweight aluminum weighing in at only a quarter of an ounce. You’d be forgiven for forgetting the ring is even on! What I particularly like about this thicker ring is the the way it looks while fully erect.

A quintessential Gear Essentials release, the strut is a narrower stainless ring than what one would see with the Torque. Because of the narrower profile at only .4", the strut doesn’t have the space for a comfort fit interior - though it’s not strictly necessary at this size. As with all Gear Essentials adornments, this ring is machined to exact tolerances with the caliper confirming that the shop is always exact in their craft.

Magicare Mamba Zero Cage Ring

This comfortable chastity “trainer” is available from AliExpress from the Magicare brand. The adornment, like similar “trainers” from Chaste Bird, features a collection of firm plastic base cock rings and an oval shaped shaft ring. The shaft ring is about 1.25" x 1.45" which lands at a nearly perfect shaft ring size of 1.35" for me (my preference is 1.375). What is different from my other “trainer” cage rings is how this one attaches the base and shaft rings.

Curved Tapered Wire

This wire ring is tapered towards the bottom to promote comfort, and not to be stopped there, it is also curved along the body of the ring to better confirm to the contours of your body. This creates a highly comfortable adornment for all day wearing. I do wonder how close the quality control is. Having purchased the 1.81" option, the average inner diameter is a much-less-constricting 1.97". Perhaps this was a misunderstanding on my part while ordering, but a ring shaped this way would encourage sizing slightly down simply because of the contours that offer more forgiveness that a flat round ring.

Horned Glans Ring

This somewhat interesting glans ring features design elements along the whole body that add interest. I’m not sure how to describe be design - somewhere along the lines of Greek Parthenon style. The ring is a little large for an all day glans ring, but it fits well when erect. The design is interesting indeed, though I wonder if it would slide off if donned during insertion activities. That’s probably not something to leave to chance!

In this case, it also turns out to be a great size for a shaft ring. Who wouldn’t give it a shot for only $3.50 to your door? As a shaft ring, the crystal performs admirably if not uncomfortably. They are clear, but definitely not cut for comfort around your member given the semi-sharp edges and unrounded interior ring.

While browsing AliExpress for items to repurpose into rings, I came across these shaft collars used to lock movement of rotating assemblies in place on a shaft. A few dollars later, I had about ten collars headed my way. The experiment was hit or miss… with mostly misses. Naturally, these shaft collars were not cut for comfort, so they feature angular and sharp edges.
